700R4 CORVETTE SERVO ADVANTAGES UPGRADE
This servo is a must for any performance, towing, RV, or off-road transmission, but would be a nice upgrade for any 700-R4 or 4L60E. Spray the pin with some brake-clean to freeze it on uninstall and prior to installing new servo. New USA made Corvette servo piston kit for the GM 700R4, 4L60, 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, 4L75E THM700-R4 MD8. My pin was really tight in the original setup. This helps prevent the transmission from slipping under heavy load, such as racing or towing, and is highly recommended for any high performance application. Use a short breaker bar with a cheater pipe when pressing the servo (not for leverage) but it allows you to adjust length and tuck into your armpit to keep both hands free. There are two types of servos typically swapped in- one being a stock corvette servo, the other an aftermarket or billet servo with yet an even larger. The corvette servo will give your 4l60e 50 more apply pressure, meaning it will allow for a much firmer shift.
